Mother Carmen Salles, foundress of the Congregation of the Conceptionist Missionary Sisters of Education, is slated to be canonized on October 21st, 2012. The Dominican Family should rejoice, as this holy woman lived and served for twenty-two years as a member of a Dominican community before founding her own in the Dominican spirit.
